I, too, have had Alex apply my makeup for various occasions, but most importantly, for my wedding day. She not only gave me a trial to make sure that she would give me exactly what I wanted, but she was bright-eyed and ready the morning of the event to get me, my bridesmaids, and my mom ready for the big day. Not only did my makeup last the entire day, but she literally went through and told me exactly what she was doing and why. I was so happy with the finished product and even more pleased with the way the makeup translated in my pictures. She was even there for me for touch-ups after crying and left me a cute little basket to do my own touch-ups after she left. I felt like all of her products were high-quality and clean, and that she truly loved being a part of one of the most important days of my life. Makeup is something that she is clearly passionate about (and amazing at!), and she is always the first to come to my mind when friends ask for references. She is a true professional who has mastered a variety of techniques and can work with any complexion and eye shape to bring out the natural beauty in anyone and everyone. Alex is confident enough to work with what you want while still giving her professional opinion, and she will make you look absolutely gorgeous! When I began the task of looking for a professional makeup artist for my wedding, I had no idea how hard it was going to be. Because I'm from the LA, area, most of the makeup artists I had looked in to were not willing to travel. Especially since my wedding was going to be held in Escondido CA, and I had a huge wedding party. It didn't help that my wedding was going to be a morning wedding either. When I found Alex, I was blown away. Her work was some of the most stunning makeup I had ever seen. Not only, was she willing to travel, and accommodate me on the most important day of my life, but she was also willing to take on the task of providing her services for my huge wedding party. Although we had to start makeup at 3am in order to have everyone done and ready by 9am for pictures, she executed not only my makeup beautifully, but my brides maids makeup as well. I am so happy I chose Elegance By Alex to do my makeup for my wedding. She is truly amazing at what she does and her work speaks for itself. I would recommend her services to any bride who is looking to have their makeup done by a TRUE professional on their wedding day.

Alex has done my makeup on a couple different occasions.. but the most recent (and most important) being our engagement photos this summer. I was extremely happy with the way my makeup turned out and how the pictures looked! I am a very picky person, very particular about makeup and hate that “cakey” look, but Alex was more than accommodating. If I asked for anything specific or even asked her to change something, she was gracious and willing to make me happy. She has done such a wide range of makeup, and knows how it will look in photos, which is SO helpful! I don’t wear much makeup usually, and therefore didn’t want to look like my makeup was heavy, but Alex knew how to make it look ‘just right’ for the photos. I am also using her for my wedding day, so obviously I think she is amazing!!! I am fortunate enough to know Alex on a personal level too, as she will soon be my sister-in-law and I have to say, she is the coolest, most fun girl and you will have a BLAST with her as you get ready for whatever big event is happening :)
